My thoughtsThe palette come with a mirror and four best-selling shades by Illamasqua;
Fable, Plunge, Over and
Corrupt. All the shades in the palette have a matte finish.
Fable is a light rose pink while
Plunge is a bright mauve pink.
Over is a bright coral pink and
Corrupt is a bright warm pink according to Illamasqua. The first two shades, Fable and Plunge appear too pale and don’t complement my fair medium skin tone (NC30 in Mac for reference).
Over and
Corrupt however do flatter my skin tone. Moreover, I am pleased with the lasting power of the shades; all last for 3 hours. The only downside – since all colors are matte, you must exfoliate and moisturize your lips before application as it tends to highlight any dryness you may have. In my opinion, this palette is not really meant for medium to deep skin tones.
Over and
Corrupt are the only shades that work for me. That being said, I do believe that this lip palette is a good option for traveling around these holidays.
