Jordana Powder Blush
My thoughts
Touch of Pink apparently seemed liked a peach to me when I first saw it. I was really excited to try it because I fell for this shade at first sight. Even though I do own a bunch of pink and peach blushers, I just never get enough of them. I try to wear different blushes everyday so none of them feels ignored (blushes have feelings too or at least I think they do).
Touch of Pink is a lovely color – on me it’s pretty much straight up pink with a hint of peach. It’s an absolutely flattering color for fair to medium skin tones. I am happy to see that it’s purely matte with no shimmer specs but a few other shades in this range do have tiny shimmer. Contrary to what I was expecting, the texture is quite soft (not buttery soft though) and gets picked up on the brush conveniently. In case you’re wondering, there is no fall out either.
The pigmentation of this blush reminds me of MAC Sheertone Blush; mild on first swipe but buildable. I really adore this quality because it gives me better control over application in a way that I don’t have to worry applying too much on first go. I won’t say it blends as smoothly as MAC but for a drugstore blush it truly ah-mazes me. It applies non-cakey, doesn't get patchy and provides a stunning natural look. Surprisingly, it also lasts well on me for up to good six hours after which it begins to lose intensity but doesn’t fade away entirely. So does it mean it’s a perfect matte blush? Well, for a drugstore blush, it really is very impressive. One thing that I don’t like about it is the packaging. It comes in a pot with screw cap while I like flip cap (just a personal preference).
For the price, this blush is a really good deal for someone looking for a natural looking/everyday matte blusher. Definitely a hit for me!
