I’m a fan of Rouge Bunny Rouge Colour Burst Lipsticks. I seem to always have at least one of them in my bag, no kidding – I truly adore them. Today I am going to share my views on Glassy Gloss in Fleur Parfait.
Glassy Gloss
The new ultra glossy formula combines a non-sticky finish with intense moisturising properties which have an immediate effect on dry skin. Rose Seed Extract smoothes away fine lines, rejuvenates and regains lost natural colour and skin tone while Vitamin E works as an anti-oxidant.
Our two shades ‘Fleur Parfait’ and ‘Triffle Rich’ include a protective, soothing blend of Paper Birch Extract and Woodland Figwort speaking of natural, wild freshness. Anti- oxidant and anti-ageing, their formula also contains Cotton Tree Fruit Extract to hydrate and revitalise.
Available in 10 shades. 10 ml / 0.34 fl oz

RBR describes Fleur Parfait as ‘a cushiony-soft semi-opaque mauve pink, with subtle silver highlights’. I have to say, it’s one of the prettiest mauve-pinks I’ve tried to date. It’s a perfect blend of pink and purple that instantly brightens up my face. The shade is soft enough for every day wear; in fact I often reach for this when I want a minimal makeup look. There is very fine shimmer scattered through the gloss that doesn’t look overpowering at all. It is actually something I can see myself wearing alone since the color payoff is wonderful yet it manages to keep up a natural look.
This lip gloss has a creamy consistency that glides on very smoothly while the pigment coats the lips uniformly. Not to mention, I absolutely love the doe-foot applicator it comes with as it provides precise and comfortable application. Two swipes are pretty much enough to provide a semi-opaque coverage with just the right amount of glistening shine – not extremely glossy if that's what you expect. It moisturizers well and doesn’t settle into the lip lines which is one of its best features. Owing to its thick consistency, it does bunch up at the corners of my mouth upon fading if I apply too much which is one drawback as so I wouldn’t suggest going for multiple coats with it.
Glassy Gloss really does create the effect of having slightly fuller lips in my case which I love. I will give full marks to the formula even though it feels a wee bit sticky (doesn’t give you a gooey feel though) which is the reason why it stays put for sufficiently a good amount of time – up to two hours without eating or drinking. I definitely get more wear out of it with a lip liner underneath. It has a pleasant scent to it that doesn’t really linger once it’s applied but the flavor remains for some time which doesn’t bother me because it doesn't taste bad.
Overall, this lip gloss shines, moisturizes, doesn’t feel heavy and gives a beautiful coverage. I can't think of anything bad to say about it except maybe the price. Being a luxury brand, the price is definitely not cheap but if you do plan on getting one of these, you won't regret it!
