Belleme is fairly unknown Korean brand retailed by Abbamart and Lush Grooming Bargains in Pakistan. I am going to share my thoughts on a few other products by Belleme in the coming weeks but right now, let’s talk about this amazing BB cream.
When it first came, I thought it might be just another BB cream that would sit around in my stash unloved and untouched but to my surprise, it’s just the opposite. I have been religiously using it since almost two weeks and I am pleasantly surprised with the results. It fulfills almost every claim it makes. It’s an oil-free water-based product that offers light to medium feather light coverage. I do believe it conceals minor spots and blemishes hence even out my skin tone. That being said, I don’t think it can hide major discoloration or very prominent scars; for that you need a separate concealer. I also noticed that it minimizes pores by playing the primer part plus keeps my skin hydrated and fresh throughout the day. Also, it has no weird scent (just a mild one) and doesn’t leave my skin looking greasy or feeling oily for the most part. My T-zone does get a bit shiny by mid day but that’s the case with just about any foundation I wear so I don’t complain. I am equally pleased with the wear time; it’s transfer-resistant and lasts for good five hours.
The shade Nude Beige doesn’t seem like nude beige to me as it appears touch pale on my NC30 skin tone. It takes some time to adapt to my skin tone however I don’t mind that because it doesn’t appear ashy or unnatural afterwards. It has yellow undertones which would suit most Asian skins. It moisturizes well and sets to a semi-matte finish. The consistency is thin and somewhat runny so be careful when you squeeze it out. Among the multitasking properties, SPF36 might not be able to offer good sun protection if you’re using a pea-sized amount so I suggest wearing your regular sun block underneath. Also I am not sure if it really improves the appearance of fine lines and blemishes in the long run but what I know is that it doesn’t break me out.
Belleme BB cream comes in just two shades which is a major limitation for the wide range of hues we have here in Pakistan. The two shades would suit fair to medium skin types (Nude Beige is darkest of the two). In my opinion, this BB cream would suit all skin types. Take it if you want a natural looking light coverage for everyday use. Leave it if you want more coverage for spots and blemishes; go for a medium coverage foundation instead.
You might like it if…
- You expect light to medium coverage
- You expect a light weight feel
- You want a natural looking flawless semi matte coverage
- You have minor spots and it evens out your skin
- You expect it to be transfer-resistant
- You expect a good wear time (for up to five hours)
- You expect it to conceal major spots and blemishes
- You find it expensive
- You don’t find a suitable match
- The runny consistency bothers you
My rating
4/5
