Broadly speaking, I’ve had a good experience with Belleme products that I’ve tried so far but I’m on the fence about these lip glosses. Everything’s good except the wear. Young Lovers Lip Gloss doesn’t claim intense pigmentation so I wouldn’t blame the sheer coverage; they don’t deposit the same amount of pigment apparently visible in the tube.
I got two shades to share with you. Talk to Love is a cheerful bright fuchsia pink with berry sparkles while Vivace is a creamy tangerine infused with golden shimmer. I think the colors will compliment both lighter and deeper skin tones.
If I have to mention the good qualities, I’d say I totally love the fine shimmer. I can feel the dispersed bits of shimmer if I press my lips together but it doesn’t feel harsh. The consistency isn’t too thick or thin and it doesn’t feel tacky or sticky. It’s indeed very moisturizing and smooth out the lip lines in one coat which add to the good points. It does seem to settle a bit in the lip lines if applied too much as I did in the swatches you see above. I love the smell of sweet candies it has and same goes for the flavor; it’s yummy! The cushion on the applicator is SO comfortable that it makes application a joy. Now to the downside; this gloss hardly ever lasts for more than an hour on me. This is one thing I would like to change about the formula however the packaging is travel-friendly so you could keep it in your bag for touch ups.
Overall, Young Lovers Lip Gloss would suit you if you’re looking for sheer subtle shine lip glosses. You may well enjoy the moisturizing formula if you don’t mind reapplying throughout the day. The scent, taste everything’s good except the longevity. Not to mention, the shade range is very limited too.
