I have been given "Medium" to try and personally, I think it's a wee bit useless for me. I was expecting a blush in the kit but instead, they've put a bronzer. In my part of the world, people do not bronze often so for me, the bronzer kinda goes to waste.
I like the highlighting powder, I apply it every single day since it looks very natural. I am glad that it doesn't contain chunky shimmer however it does enhance imperfections on my skin. I feel the contouring powder is a bit too dark for my liking or maybe I have the wrong shade (for reference, I am NC30 in Mac). I strongly believe "Light" would go with my skin tone. You really got to keep a light hand when it comes to applying the contouring powder; little goes a long way. But if you're photographing and want that chiseled face, the contouring powder will serve you best.
Overall, I find it a good product to invest in provided you find your suitable shade. And nope, there aren't many fallouts with this palette and it stays on the skin for a decent time too so if you're looking for something that's easy on the pocket and is multi-purpose, I say give it a go.
